For anyone who has ever owned an angry pet dog, they know just how difficult it is to get an animal to learn proper behavior. It’s not easy to make your dog stop barking at every single thing that passes by or snap when it feels like someone is staring. In fact, many dog owners have stories about how their dogs would attack anything that they could see, including the mailman or delivery person. Some dogs would even attack their owners on sight.

One dog owner shared with us, “They always snap at me when I’m in the house…even if there is no one else around. It’s really hard to have any confidence with my dog anymore. He goes on his power walk every night and absolutely doesn’t come when I call him. I just don’t know what to do anymore.” Emma Parsons, a dog training tricks expert, says that you can cure your dog of being aggressive by using the correct dog training tricks.

The dog owner recommends using the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) when you’re trying to train your dog. According to Emma,” Pets deserve to be treated as people. Dogs are pack animals and have the tendency to snap and bite when they feel threatened. Using the Emotional Freedom Technique teaches your dog to release its negative emotions by itself. When a dog snaps at another dog because it didn’t obey the command, the dog is simply connecting the bad action to the anger or frustration it experienced.”

Another dog training tricks that Emma has used with her dog and with her clients is called the recall game. The dog will be placed in a room and no one is allowed to get near it. It must then sit down quietly until everyone leaves the room and then it has to go back to where it is sitting. As soon as it hears the click, it must return to where it is sitting. Emma says, “This makes the dog realize that it made a mistake and that it needs to learn to trust again.”

A dog training trick that Emma loves is called the hide-and-seek game. The dog finds a treat and runs after it. The trainer tells the dog, “Stay close to the hide and don’t look around. You only get one chance to hide and seek, so please memorize that. Now, hide the treat and start running.”

If you have ever watched wrestling on television, you may have seen this trick performed by professional wrestlers. In this game, two competing dogs are blindfolded and then the handler leads one dog into a room and then the other dog, who is supposed to be the handler, is given treats and then lead the dog into hiding. After the dog is in hiding, the handler holds a treat above the dog’s head and then releases it. This dog will then try to find the treat and hopefully not run off.

As you can see, this is a great way to teach dogs how to sit and stay. In addition to using treats, Emma Parsons suggests using pictures, chalk or mirrors to reinforce the dog’s behavior. Each time a dog obeys the command, he receives a treat. The treats are small, but each one of them represents a day that he has learned what to do.

Emma Parsons’ Click to Calm program offers dog training tricks that are simple to follow and that is enjoyable for both the dog and the handler. The program is designed to make dog training fun and exciting for both owner and dog. When dogs learn these dog training tricks, their obedience and behavior improve dramatically. It is one of the easiest ways to make your dog a lot more obedient and to enjoy spending time with him as well.
