For those of you who are new to dog ownership, you would probably be surprised at the fact that many dog owners do not know how to train their dog. As well as this, many dog owners do not even really understand what dog training is all about. In this article, I will present you with some basic information about dog training and discuss a few dog training tips. If you are serious about training your dog then read on to learn more.

There are several people that have compiled a set of dog training tips in a pdf known as “How To Train Your Dog In 7 Days”. The book can be found online. The author is an expert dog trainer and the book has helped thousands of dog owners. If you are serious about improving your dog’s behavior then it is worth taking a look at the following information.

The first tip involves using the positive association technique. This technique is based on the idea that dogs remember things better if they associate them with something positive. So, when you give your dog a treat and tell him to “good dog” then the dog will connect the “good dog” phrase with the treat. He will remember the phrase and will begin to associate it with good things.

The next tip is to use the clicker method. The clicker will produce a positive association for your dog. Whenever your dog responds to the click sound with a treat he will remember the click sound and it will evoke a good memory about the session. This is a very simple training method but must be taught carefully as too much teaching can lead to resentment. You should also use small treats with the clicker in order to avoid overfeeding and to prevent the dog from becoming overweight.

Another very important part of How to Train Your Dog properly is the praise system. Praise your dog when he behaves in a way that you approve of. Do not let him have any self-control when giving praise. This may trigger aggressive behavior from your dog.

To reinforce positive associations with your dog to do tricks or follow commands, you should use the crate. You should place your puppy in the crate before starting the training and take him out afterwards. Place the crate in the center of the room and attach a doggy treat to it. Whenever your dog does what you want him to do inside the crate you should reward him with his favorite treat and make sure that he knows that he did a good job.

While learning how to train your dog, you may need to work with a professional trainer. If this is so, you should know what to expect and how to react if you are not impressed with the results. A trainer can provide you with additional suggestions and tips and you should make the most of this.

You should also remember that there will be times when the dog is not behaving as you want him to. In such situations, you should not be too harsh on the dog and should instead try and distract him by giving him plenty of praise. You can do this by giving him lots of verbal praise such as “Good Boy”, “Well done” etc. After a while, the dog will get the message and he will behave better. When this happens you should give him a pat in the head and say “Good Boy” each time he performs a correct command correctly. This will earn you his respect and you will be able to teach more advanced commands to him in no time.
