Tips For Training a Belgian Malinois Family Protection Dog

Many people own a dog, but few know much about the unique characteristics of the Belgian Malinois. This breed is recognized as a master working dog in Belgium. These dogs were originally used by farmers to herd cattle and herd them safely, as well as for hunting. The Malinois is a very strong, athletic, and intelligent dog that can be trained to do almost anything.

The most recognizable characteristic of the Belgian Malinois is its exceptional intelligence. It has an excellent memory and can remember up to 200 different things at one time. This trait is great for a dog who has a duty to protect his family. The malinois has a very keen sense of smell and is excellent at finding problems and finding a solution. These dogs are naturally excellent hunters, as well as being excellent family pets.

The malinois is a very playful dog, but is also very strong. They are known for their ability to catch, shield, and protect the family. However, with these traits comes a certain responsibility, as the dog must not be allowed to be outside unsupervised, for fear of danger. There are several important malinois dog training tips that should be considered if one wishes to have an active and healthy dog.

The first tip is that the dog must be house trained. Malinois dogs were developed as herding breeds and were never meant to be let out of the home. This should be taught from puppyhood and continued into adulthood. The first dog that the owner allowed to go outside was called Brandy, who was a border collie. The problem was that she never appeared first and did not stay long at home.

Malinois dogs are extremely intelligent and learn easily when they are exposed to new things, such as scent or hearing. A dog should not be left alone in a room for extended periods of time, because this causes them to become bored and skittish. Training a dog to be a protection dog requires that they be socialized in a positive manner from a young age, and remain friendly and playful throughout their life. When a dog does not appear as part of the family pack, they will often display symptoms of aggression and will not receive adequate training.

The second tip is that a dog should be vaccinated for distemper and rabies on a yearly basis. Malinois protection dogs do not require the same vaccinations as other dogs, but they still should get a full year of shots since they are hunting dogs and may come into contact with other animals that are sick. These two diseases are the most serious problems that can occur to a malinois, and early treatment can help prevent these problems from developing into something worse.

Malinois protection dogs also have another health issue that affects other dogs with hip dysplasia. Hip dysplasia is a condition where the front leg has a difference from the other legs. It can make it difficult for the dog to stand up. Malinois protection dogs should never be allowed to jump on people, and must always stand firmly on all four legs during walks. The goal is to help the dog develop good gait and posture habits before they reach adulthood, and for the dog to have strong muscular control over their hindquarters.

The last tip for training a Belgian malinois protection dog is that they can be very sensitive to shock. This is why it’s a good idea to train the dog in a controlled environment. The dog can be tamed in an obedience class, a special crate, or even in a securely fenced yard. A pet trainer will be able to identify when the dog is sensitive to stimulation, and can use tools such as toys to keep the dog calm while it is being trained. Malinois protection dogs need to be taught that their life is not at risk, and that they are not people that should be hurt or scolded. They are extremely smart, strong, and energetic dogs, and can make great companions for kids and adults alike.
